I was talking to my black rider friend a couple years ago, telling him about real riding boots and how protective they are. I told him if he had on boots “like these” he probably wouldn’t have broken his ankle a the prior year. He tells me “MAAAAANNNNN, if I had those (riding boots) on, I wouldn’t have gotten paid!!!” ---

Basically it’s another reason we should give everyone taxpayer funded health care… oh, and maybe helmets too. :uhh: But the study has no way to gauge a riders predisposition to risky activity… which everyone here keeps pointing out (in a not so eloquent way) seems like the obvious reason. Stereotypes aside, everyone knows blacks are more likely to grow up in poorer socioeconomic conditions and therefore take more “risks.” I really hope they don’t need “further study” to figure that out. ---
