**UPDATE ON PAGE 10!!**
Bought the car 2 years ago like this:
I know, I know…I’m the guy who made the decision to buy a modded m3, with barely any documentation, and nitrous.
I was dumb, but if i were building another E36, this has all the choice little parts I could possibly want in one…and it was built by Turner Motorsports, car went into Turner stock, and quite shitty, and came out close to what you see here…
Aside from all the basic e36 maintenance/replacing parts as needed these goodies were installed:
Motor/Int/Exh:
Bare S52 Longblock (from a 97 M3 with no more than 50k miles)
All parts from the S50 were kept/swapped onto the new motor (OBD1 conversion the easy way)
TMS/JC 3.5" Intake w/ ITG filter
Euro 3.5" HFM
24# Injectors
TMS Power Pullies
Remus Sport Titanium Exhaust
Resonator Delete
Drivetrain:
Sachs Sport Clutch
JBR/TMS 10.5# LTW Flywheel
B&M Race SSK
Suspension:
H&R Coilovers
RD Strut Bar
TMS RTAB shims
Swaybar Tab Reinforcement
GC RSM’s
Brakes:
OE Brembo rotors
AXXIS Ultimate Pads
I’ll add to this list as i remember other stuff, my build sheet is at home…
So i drove the car for a couple months in this state, just did coolant flush, oil change, plugs, comp test, etc…got rid of the monster splitter of doom, took the stickers off, got real clears, and not garbage crystal 7 series style tails, and a good cleaning and here’s how it sat after about 2 weeks of my ownership…much more laid back so to speak…

I also hated the chromed out headlights, but could not afford the Euro Ellipsoids i wanted so i did a quick spray mod, before:

Stuff done over the winter-
So, i got an offer from a friend who was getting rid of a CF hood for an e36 coupe, i’ve never been a fan of my fender stripes, and as you can see, they continued onto the hood, and somewhat shoddily at that…so i opted for a change and offered him my stock hood, a pair of tires and a JTD Underpanel, in trade for the CF.
He accepted and I was one step closer to the stripe delete:
Sold the Nitrous, sold the wheels, pulled miles of junk alarm/stereo wiring out, cleaned engine bay, removed strut bar for the time being, adjusted coilovers, deleted the stock clutch fan, added low temp Tstat, and low temp aux fan switch…and another oil change.
Tax return rolls around, order new wheels, bought new headlights, new less abrasive front splitter made from Alumalite, bought some ebay 6000k HID’s, amber city lights, reverted back to 1995 grills, and voila, a more tame, but racey front end:
Also, over the winter i bought a bunch of stuff like Lower control arms (balljoints are pressed in), tie rods, and got some SOLID Treehouse Racing LCAB’s, so one day i get a call from a friend asking if i wanted to go to a dyno day at MOON Performance in Lake Placid, and in the same day that i had it dynoed (oh yeah, i had it out of storage in late april iirc) i decided to bring those suspension bits and make a day of it…so i did the dyno…results

Now, these numbers are fairly high for a mustang dyno…and upon calling Turner shortly after this, the Service Manager said he remembered the car/previous owner well, and said he went straight for their stage 4.5 cam kit…
i was all like omgwtf cams, but have not removed the valve cover to verify because i’m a lazy piece of shit, but the previous owner says its not cammed, and it says nothing about cams on the 7 page work order from turner (which totals close to $18k)…but it makes power comparable to a cammed car…on a mustang dyno…
Anyways, pics from that day, and the install…
So thats how the car sat for a while…
Here’s a pic of the motor after i removed the washer bottle, a/c, did a little cleaning, oh and nitrous is gone obviously…

FINALLY my wheels show up
I went with Rota for a few reasons:
Their aftermarket following as a cheap, but quality wheel
To be different from the usual ‘get OEM FORGED LTW’S OMG OR BBS LM SO HOT’ of the bimmer crowd
I wanted bronze
Light
CHEAP
Got me some P45F’s 18x8 et38 in Full Sports Royal Bronze, and wrapped em in 255/35 Pilot Sport PS2’s on all four

ill be the first to say that it’s got a little ghetto in her…
stupid shit that is $$$ to replace, but i’d rather spend other places…like exhaust gas driven spinny things for example…
ghetto:
-PS door handle doesnt work from the outside
-every time you open the PS door something in it rattles…idk
-my hood latch release is broken, so my semi-permanent solution is vice grips on the cable haha (going with these [http://coastfab.com/specials.html#aerocatch](http://coastfab.com/specials.html#aerocatch) eventually)
-broke some lug bolts, got a vorshlag stud kit, but couldnt get one of them extracted from the PS rear hub, so in it stays, ill deal with it over the winter, but for the last couple hundred miles before hibernation i think it’ll be ok
-no interior door handle surrounds (so if you put the sunroof on vent it creates a nice breeze through the door, its good in the summer with no a/c hahaha)
-the tails are aftermarket and leak water into the trunk when it rains, so i put come duct tape over where it leaks…problem solved
-no oem tool kit (dead weight anyways ;D)
-front bumper is so totally fux0red its not even funny, the only thing holding it on is the little oem push pins
-nose panel is garbage and throws the alignment of the front end all off, as you can see in the pics.
-also the nose panel got a little more green than the rest of the paint on the car…idk man
Oh, and forgot to mention…the paint is OEM Alpine White with Blue/Violet Pearl in the clearcoat.
