Keep in mind, in his sig he has like 185/65/14s on…you’re seeing alot of tire movement there.

I’d run whatcha brung and srsly thrash the car into sliding.
Then I’d give the keys back to Benny and drive my daily home.
In all seriousness; I would imagine this is a sport where you can develop bad habits and not realize you even have these bad habits much like road course racing. So for Benny and anyone else in the mindset of, “I’m just starting out, setup is not important…” I would be careful. I would focus on learning the car and using all your senses to judge what the car is doing. How does it react to weight load transfers, when does it feel like its pushing, when does the car feel spot on, etc. From here I would do what Jesse suggested and make small but measured and _recorded_ changes to your free or cheap adjustments on the car. This way you will end up with a much more dialed in car and be able to work on techniques that will benefit you later in your drifting career.
Many driver’s on track, including myself, get to a point where they are just turning laps in their car that has the same setup its had on it for a long time. Without realizing it you can start to develop bad driving habits that accommodate the poorly setup car. While this is ok for the time being, it leads to a tough learning curve that must be overcome when you go to the next car, or start driving random pro rides.

Yeah I was rocking 16"s in the back. That’s only one short video clip and on that turn I found out later that shifting into 3rd will keep my speed up and will create a better drift. Otherwise I was just riding the rev limiter in 2nd.

i ran second gear and i’d shift to third gear for the corner in steve’s sig. third gear isn’t bad at all if you have the track and the room.
