How would Sprint’s business model work if they have cheaper everything, give away everything but the kitchen sink to anyone who asks for it, yet still subsidize you to use the entire, more expensive vzw network? Of course, choosing WiMax when the rest of the country is going LTE suggests they don’t really have much of one anyway…In another few years, AT&T and Verizon are going to be able to roam off each other for the first time since analog days (Think Cellular One vs. Frontier Cellular) and Sprint people are going to be stuck on their crappy Sprint towers only. Hello permanent duopoly. And coverage is all about where you go, and where you need to make calls. ---

Rochester already has 4G right now. We’ve had it since the Evo launch in the beginning of June. It’s official roll out will be July 11th, but Sprint has been running and building upon it for a couple months now. It’s stupid quick.
