JDM kouki’s have better projectors. I actually completely forgot about USDM projectors. ---

I remember PDM was selling those Hella H4 housings for the S13 popups, I don’t think they have them anymore. What do you guys think of those with some decent PIAA H4 bulbs? I also remember reading a thread by spd-dmn regarding those PIAA bulbs…good picture comparisons. ---

my thread was with hella housings and osram hyper H4 bulbs actually. but piaa’s will work well in them too ---

Buy your Silverstars at Partsource, keep your receipt and bills and you have up to a year to return defects. I used to work there and that’s how we rolled! (I actually think it was 5 years). If you buy any generic item look at your bill and it should say something about the warranty(either 1 or 5 years). I guess they never caught the mistake with providing a warranty on light bulbs. Now this was about 3 years ago, so don’t get mad if I’m wrong. ---

The JDM kouki\>USDM kouki with HID’s. The cutoff is very much different between the two and just barley tolerable for oncoming traffic. I have identical HID kits in the vert/hatch but the hatch has 02’ TSX projectors and the cutoff is like day and night. The light output is also at least 30% brighter and shows more of the 8000K bulbs colour which is yes blueish.
