# best ipod connection

Actually I currently have an aftermarket HU in place, but I want to go back to the stock HU and just run that and the MP3 player. The VW Monsoon system has a seperate amp in the trunk so technically I’m double amping the signal to the speakers right now since by HU has an (weak) amp, but the gain on the Monsoon amp is variable so it’s not overly loud or distorted in any way that I can hear.
I thought my way through the problem and figured out what that black box does. The 1/8" stereo out drives the ear buds, so it must be an analog signal. CD’s are digital and all a changer does is read CD’s and send the data to the HU, so the CD changer input is a digital in. _head slap_ So that little black box is an analog to digital converter.
If you get a chance to check what you could sell me an adapter for that would be cool, but don’t go out of your way because I’m pretty sure it would cost enough that it would just make more sense for me to cough up a little more for a HU with RCA in’s.

I got out my fm transmitter I had for my older mp3 player. It’s a nice one… got it last christmas. Works pretty good… but I have nowhere to set this and some static hits. Not bad though. I think it’s a Belkin 2? Or something like that.

Unfortunatly the person who bought the Jeep new never got the cd changer. I don’t think there is an AUX button but I’ll look into it. It’s a 2004 Jeep Liberty Sport.

For best sound, plus control & power use an adapter (USA SPEC, Peripheral, etc)

I have the monster fm transmitter and the ipod plug in one.
The key is to find the right frequency that works well in your area.
That is why they have three changeable presets.
