what are you looking for? a hard core gaming computer, or something to watch porn on and post on nyspeed with?
if you want top of the line stuff, deffinatly do something custom, but if all your gonna do is make your palms hairy go buy a dell or something

Alienware is one of the best built out of the box machines around.
Joe what are u using it for?
there are alot of options, but dell is good, and cheap also, you can get pretty much any config you want from them also.

Buy one of the pre-built high end systems from [www.cyberpowersystem.com](http://www.cyberpowersystem.com) and spend 5 minutes tweeking it a tad. It all comes in 1 piece, no assembly required, excellent customer service.
You can select a non-ricer case as well if you want.

Well it needs to be able to run vista w/ all the bells and wistles…
But my biggest problem is storage space, I have like 3 drives filled with movies, pron, music that are sitting in a box b/c I can’t put them into my current case b/c it already has 3 drives in it…
actually, who has a link to that shit where you can make an internal drive external?
I currently have installed
2 250GB internals
1 300 GB internal
1 250 GB external
and they’re all almost full and I have easily another 500GB on the drives that aren’t installed…
I don’t mind having 1 external drive, but I’d like to be able to have 1 or 2 TB internal storage (my porn collection is a work of art crafted over the past half decade)
I really don’t want to go over like $5K or 6K…

Ill agree with you that they build decent boxes, but there like hondas. there mostly lights, weird case designs, and gimicks. they come preloaded with all sorts of shit that you DONT need, and at the end of the day your kicking your own ass for paying way too much.

uhhhh, no. been done with highschool for a while…
if he has no budget celing he should BUILD his own box or have someone else do it. My current machine BLOWS any alienware computer out of the water, and it didnt nearly cost anywhere NEAR what one of those over priced peices of rice shit cost.

if you really have a 5-6K budget, then we need to talk. things to look at:
