# Big car collection in Amsterdam.

My boss at the pizza shop had a friend who is really into cars and older race cars specificly. His friend apparently has a pretty massive collection in amsterdam. Multiple gt350,gt500 shelbys, supercharged ford gt, older jaguars and bugatis, ferarris, list goes on. I have a flash drive he gave me that has 95 pics of the whole thing on it and ill post em shortly. Just wondering if maybe boxersix, mafdark or anyone knew of it and seen it before?

It’s funny that you posted this saturday. I was actually sitting next to Jim Menneto (Hemmings motor news) and another individual from the auto museum’s board on a plane back to Albany on Friday and we were talking about this collection and a couple others in the area that I didn’t know about. apparently volunteers at the Saratoga Auto Museum often get to go to these local/private collections and check them out.
It’s definitely interesting to hear exactly how many substantial collections are in the area. I had only heard about one of them.

Jim is a great guy, my father has worked for him for years and they’re very close. He’s always bringing something new in, and while I haven’t been there in a year or two my father keeps me up to date on his new acquisitions. I believe he’s done a rally on every continent.

My neighbor does business with him and has seen the collection and I met him once though Greg Heck (alpin haus) a few years ago. He employs a dude that “maintains” the collection full time! BADASS job! The guy is a nice dude for sure.
Ask him about the time he booted on the “#9” GT in the top pic going up the parking lot at Alpin Haus, over corrected and almost took out a boat! LOL

His son used to work full-time at the garage maintaining the collection, not sure if he’s still there or if he brought someone new in.
