> It’s funny, I was just thinking about this car the other day while driving home from work. While a B series or K series would be cool, a SOHC D series motor would be super cheap, fun, and definitely cheap to turbo.

yep … not the sexiest setup on the planet, but effective and light

Thanks guys, didn’t realize WD40 would do the trick. I have plenty of that lying around.

And I still think the D16 is the way I’m going to go. The price of a B swap isn’t actually that much more than a D16 would be, but I think the overall package of a turbo D would fit the car better. Plus it seems like it makes a good amount of torque when it’s turbo’d.

Just curious-what in the hell are you going to do to keep tiny tires from just vaporizing when you turbo it? Even if you go to a wheel 3" larger, you’ll have 13" wheels on it.

I’m guessing I’ll just be buying a lot of tires.
