the lighting in the garage at night make for shitty pictures. Killerblackbird is gonna do a full shoot of the car in the spring, Ill be sure to get some proper interior pics.

I haven’t really done much with the car lately,the holidays, the end of the semester, and having to put a new motor in my daily has left me short time/money wise. However now that I’m on winter break and the daily is up and running again I can get back to it. The car itself hasn’t moved an inch since the first of the month, and now that there is snow on the ground it won’t until spring. I do have a number of things that still need to be done. The transmission has been leaking fluid and needs to be resealed, the throw out bearing needs to be replaced, the rear end gears are too long (currently 3.00:1 i’m gonna put some 3:70s in). I need to take apart all of the interior panels and address some fitment issues, I need to order and install the roll bar, find a movie correct autometer tach, and do a ton of other odds and ends. So even though the car looks done its far from it.
today I got started on restoring the rear scoop vent boxes, these go behind the upper scoop and have sliders to allow outside air to enter the car.
what im starting with, nasty.
everything all disassembled (notice the corners of the box itself which is fiberglass are broken off.)
all of the rust removed, everything cleaned thoroughly and freshly painted.
also repaired the damage to the corners
the seal isn’t reproduced, luckily the original is in good shape and can be cleaned and reused.

I had to move the car to move some stuff around in the garage today and Since it hasn’t been started in a month I let the car run for a little and I did a quick walkaround video.

got some more parts in the mail today
new speedo cable, ball bearing conversion for the pedal cluster, to replace the shot plastic bushings in it now.
new pilot bearing, throw out bearing, throw out bearing tube, and a short throw shifter.
I also got the vent boxes all done.
