I went to school with his kids. They were great people. Never in a million years would I have ever thought of him doing something like this. I can only imagine what his family is going through.
Good job goes out to the law agencies who brought him to justice. I still can’t believe it though.

You can’t get away with murder for too long… it all catches up… if he just stayed hidden he may have gotten away with it… but his most recent killing turned the attention on finding him again. Same thing as BTK… they just can’t ever get enough and then they get caught.
I’m glad they got him.

I’m really interested to see this play out in court, and see if there is any explanation for the long delay between killings. It goes against pretty much every other serial killer case history. The theories were he was in jail, or disabled during that “off” period, but it seems as though he simply took a break. Should make for some interesting reading once the first book with a psych profile on him comes out.

My question is, is it legal to go into the restaurant he was in and take every cup dish and utensil that he was using for dna testing? DA Frank Clark made a wierd comment on the news that almost looked down on them doing that.
But based on what the reports said, he was in trouble for soliciting prostitutes,etc and then he had a wife and kids show some kind of double life. And how he seemed to be a normal member of community and even his church and then would go out and commit the rapes or murders… Curious to see what made him click.

If you have probable cause, which I am sure they did, Clark just did not want to let out any details that may have heard the case. My dad is an ex APD detective and remembers interviewing him, along with 2398 other people. He was pretty happy to see this come to a close.
From what I gathered it was a combination to all the police work pointing to one guy, and the testimony of a relative that lead them to him.
edit for lafengas: Yes, yes he is guilty. DNA doesn’t lie, not in 3 separate cases. Now, does he get convicted? That is all dependent on the DAs case, and the police work dating back 20+ years…

What is really the odds of having 3 separate incidences and the same DNA for all 3. Sounds guilty to me.
