During the day… i ride with my high beams on ALWAYS… I also tell every new rider to do the same… Now at night, just low beam when in traffic… HID’s on every bike ive ridden have been much better than stock… Maybe the people you’ve been seeing are riding with their high beams on at night !!! maybe they’re adjusted too high? maybe your car sits too low? but every bike i’ve seen with HID’s and only a low beam on is totally tolerable and way better than any “upgraded” incandescent bulb… and yes, i’ve had both. from PIAA’s to Silverstars to HID’s to stock etc etc… HID’s \> \* and during the day, high beams are phenomenal upgrade to stock “running lights” and as stated before, im certain have saved me from having to jam on my brakes or potentially get tossed off my bike due to not being seen. Its all part of defensive driving on a bike… and is probably a large contributor to why I’m still alive and well on my bike. That an emergency braking drills/ trackdays. ---

I’m not going to bash anyone… At least he see’s bikers. The reaction he has after seeing them is much less important than the initial sighitng. I liked the mohawk things for about a minute and a bikes lights should have a stobing effect… That would save lives by distracting most drivers enough to notice. To be fair, there are a lot of bikers out there that suck too. I love the ones who tailgate. ---

Those helmet mohawks really do suck. Even if you were a pure bred member of the Mohawk Indian Clan riding a brand new prototype Indian Motorcycle Company sportbike, you still fucking suck. ---

I really do hate those mohawks lol, and pointy fairing bolts. That is the epitome of rice on bikes. HIDs, not so much. ACTUALLY…Squid…Rice…SUSHI?! I get it now. Sushi is the epitome of bike rice. MMMM. ---

Call it whatever you want, but HIDs on bikes are safer for the rider…period! The difference between my stock and HID is crazy, I’d never go back. Easy remedy for other drivers, try not looking INTO the light. Driver’s Ed will teach you to look at the right lane line when there is an oncoming vehicle at night so it doesn’t mess with your night vision too much. ---

Maybe brighter for YOU but more of a distraction/hazard for other traffic. Do they not make brighter OEM replacement bulbs or something? ---

^why start a fire by rubbing sticks when theyve invented a lighter… the problem is more of a “turn off your high beams at night, wire the lights in properly, and aim them accordingly…” then they wouldnt be such a distraction.
