my 97 toyota has a lein on the title from the owner my dad got it from. they never got the lein release filed with the title to clear it, and the finance company is no longer in business so the DMV doesnt say a word about it… i even possess the lein release and have showed the DMV the document and the title came back to me with a lein still on it.
