# Blue 5.0 on fire...

bending the hood up is the proper way to attack a fire in the engine bay. It could have been put out sooner if they had bent the hood on the driver side where the fire had started instead of on the passenger side which made it harder to put the fire out and added more air to the fire.

Also spraying about 2 fire extinguishers on the car while not hitting the fire at all and with no way to get to the fire didn’t help them either, just wasted them when they could have used them in a more productive way
