wow I am amazed every time i see a new car/motor come out from bmw or any european/german car company it is so awesome to see what they can do with such a small amount of displacement fuck 5.5 liter 550bhp! why cant we do this. Im embarrassed to have that 5.0 badge on the side of my car and barely make a quarter of that power lol. ---

Otherwise, I would agree. My 3.0L Mitsubishi motor had 2 very small 9b turbos on it and it made 320hp from the factory… in 1992. Punch that out to 5.5L and you’re way ahead of this BMW for its time. (586hp). You’d be a hell of a lot faster too… in a 4000lb car… from 1992. Even take, for example, the 2.0L ECOTEC in the Sky Redline. 260hp 260tq. Pump that up to 5.5L and you’re still ahead. (715hp 715tq) 03 Cobra motor with a shitty blower would make about 500hp @ 5.5L. This is all ricer math though. ---

I agree with you completely partly because i have a friend that has a ss turbo and my father has a 03 cobra and they all do have alot of potential. Im just saying i really admire what the germans do with their shit and the new m3 is na isnt it and it is only something like 4.5 liters and makes in the ball park of 455hp doesnt it ? ---

This thread is about the TT V12 in the 7series… not the M3 motor. I think it is a 4.0L, 420hp. Sweet. ---

If this was an /M I can see the point in making an underpowered TT v12 because of the tuning potential. I don’t believe many 7 series will be modified and tuned, so it just seems like a waste to me. ---
