I wanted to get a few pics of my bike the other day to help sell it and when I pulled out my DSLR cam, the battery was dead. For the hell of it I decided to just snap them quick with my cell phone. I just put them on my computer and I was astounded by the pics that it took. Pretty awesome quality for a cell phone. Fuse 2 of those phones together and you’d have the same combined quality as the xti. ---

On a serious note, the fact that the cell lack any form of lens’ is where the quality goes way down. Not bad if you compare it to some point and shoots.
