# Broke exhaust hanger arm - cheap fix?

So I have a cheap 3" stainless exhaust and somehow or another, the hanger arm broke off the midpipe yesterday. Ideally, I would like to just clamp on another arm. I have seen pictures of these “clamps” for grapefruit shooter mufflers, but I can’t seem to find where to buy them. I could also get away with one of these (the clamp on the bottom left):
But I would obviously need it to be a 3" clamp. Anyone have any ideas, or know where I can get one of these locally, as I need this fixed by tomorrow.

hose clamp until you can get it welded.

Ok, let me clarify - the pipe has a small hole in it, but it’s not broken in half, and won’t break in half. I just need to get an arm attached to it so I can get it back in the hanger so it doesn’t break any of the other arms off.

you know i was thinking when i read it the first time … everytime i had a hanger break off it took some of the pipe with it…last time i needed a fix and quick i got the wrap stuff and wraped it then threw it up with some wire

I think we were able to get them through napa or atleast something close off of a oem exhaust system. Ask to see their exhaust book and look in the back for the hanger section.

Might want to see how much mufflerman would charge to weld a new one on. Or reinforce it, seeing as it’s close to where you live.

Try Advance Automotive. They had the hanger for my kids 96 G/A in stock. If its not in stock, they can have it by the next day in most cases.

Napa’s online prices are rarely ever what you pay in store, even more so when it comes to regional products like exhausts.
