Does anyone know where to buy Buffalo/Bison meat locally. I am looking for a tenderloin and some steaks. I have seen steaks and ground bison at wegmans but I am looking for a bit more than what they have. Thanks 🙂 ---

You might be able to get something like that from Sysco cash and carry next to BJ’s on Young street. ---

I’d go to Federal Meats and ask, they have amazing cuts normally and would probably be in the “know” as to where to purchase it ---

Get it from Omaha steaks…I’ve had the buffalo burgers, hot dogs and both were pretty good. \ I know you said locally, but they have some really good stuff if you don’t mind waiting a few days for shipping. ---

Federal doesn’t carry it. I will try Sysco but that seems like a long shot too. I found a place in ellicotville but that is stretching local. ---

I know Federal wouldn’t have it but they might know local places that do ---

check out cattaraugus county chamber of commerce. My dad said there used to be a guy in like springville or ellicottville or somethin like that with a buffalo ranch that sold buffalo meat. ---

Funny you mention this Don, I had bison at the NF casino last week and it was very grizzley(sp). The waiter noticed and would not charge me. I didn’t even complain first! I have had great bison in Wyoming, Montana, etc. I just had incredible elk tenderloin on New Year’s Eve. I will ask my friend tonight where he bought it because I believe they also had bison for sale. ---

Market in the Square or whatever in southgate may have it… They have rabbit, quail, and other various game animals. Not too sure about quality, but it’s probably worth a look. ---

have you found anywhere else yet? i just bought some of the bison steaks from wegmans, i enjoyed them. If I remember correctly, Fuddruckers does a 10 pack or 10 lb burger to go thing. It might be worth a shot to see if they still do it and if you can get their Buffalo meat.
