# Bulk head connectors firewall?

I’m looking for bulk head connectors for a the firewall 30 pin each.
I know other people have used these just looking for additional suggestions.

I’ve used this HD30 connector before, has lots of configurations too. [http://www.dalroad.com/product/hd30-series/](http://www.dalroad.com/product/hd30-series/)
odu connectors are super baller, I’ve used a few of the smaller ones [http://www.odu-usa.com/](http://www.odu-usa.com/)
I’ve found it’s easier to just use a grommet and have an inline connector someplace.

Ive been using the AMP circular plastic connectors and backshells for my harnesses. It would be nice to find something similar that is waterproof. Given that, Ive never had any issue with these, but the car rarely sees water either…
I typically “acquire” them, but they can be purchased from Digikey, Mouser, etc.

People keep mentioning how expensive the tools are to assemble these? any truth to that?

Ya, that connector is nice as its waterproof but man is it Fn ugly.
The real crimpers are very expensive. $3-500 depending. EDIT: you may be able to find knock offs for cheaper (~$100?), or perhaps used ones, depending on which connector type.
I have a crimper similar to this that I use when I cant borrow the real one from work (or if we dont have it). It works great, you just need to crimp the wire and jacket (or seal) separately.

They do make split Deutsch terminals that dont require that crimper for the tube style terminals, yet work in the same housings. So you can us one of the more generic crimpers. FYI
