Just saying that such is the way. Srsly though, figure if you can get **2 can’s from every house** on a city block & assume that there are **~40 houses a block** … now you’re talking **$4 a block**. If he were smart enough to be efficient about it - dude will walk the block with a bag, grab the goods, load up the car. Saving on gas, brakes, dips. I assume you can get through **~10 blocks a day** , including time to stop & shoot the shit… now you’re talking **$40 / day**. If that mofo works m-f you’re talking **$800 / mo gross**. Considering how much people tend to litter… I don’t think 2 cans / house is far fetched. Yes… JUST like CKY, but on a different level. ---

Thats just gas though, factor in the insurance, car payment and your collecting more cans. Say he drives 12,000 yr or 1000 a month and pays 300/mth for car payment and insurance which assuming the bum has good credit, got a deal on financing, and is a excellent driver. MPGs are probably going to average 20 maybe in a lancer with the stop and go for each garbage. So your looking at $500 dollars a month for gas and paying for the car, or .50 cents a mile. So if the bum is resourceful he has to find 10 cans every mile which I guess would not be hard. ---

There was an older lady in my hometown, she always went around collecting cans out of the garbage everyday for so many years, rain or shine, hell or highwater, blah blah you get the point. People always saw her dressed in pretty normal but lower end clothes, one could even say she fit the “poor” stereotype. Turns out her husband was a fancy pants doctor and they were millionaires, so finally the local “news team” if you wish to call them that, asked her why she did it, and she said her husband worked a lot and it made her happy and killed time til he got home :shrug: turns out she did all that work all day every day and turned in the cans, never asking for $$ back for them. ---
