I purchased a complete energy suspensions polyurethane bushing kit (front/rear) for my car a few months back and am finally to the point of installing it. I have all the pieces off my car that need to have the bushing replaced, but I noticed that basically all of the bushings look “stuck” in the spots where they are located. I have access to a machine shop that has a hydrolic press. Basically I’m just wondering if there is something I should do to the bushing before I take them to the shop. Like heat them up with a torch or something else to help break them free a bit. They seem like they are “stuck” to the housing that they were pushed into. Same thing goes for the front wheel bearings, they seem “stuck” also. Any suggestions on what I should do? Here’s pictures of what I have to deal with …

I went to my buddies dad’s machine shop today … I pressed out all my bushing and even the wheel bearings came out no problem. Next step is to sand blast some of the parts and then install the new bushings/bearings and get my car back on the ground 🙂

Yeah, the hardest part about installing bushings is getting the old ones out. It should go pretty smoothly from here on out.
