# Buying a car from Ohio

oh jeez lol, have fun with this one. Im hoping you did not just tow the car back from Ohio with a signed peice of paper or title transfered. Unfortunately ohio is one of two states that will require you going to a ohio notary and having the original owner notarize ethier a bill of sale , the title or a peice of paper that says power of attorney.

If you have the old title notarized from the previous owner, then you will be fine. Numnuts in the previous post never got the title signed when he had his black mr2, causing him headaches.

the Owner told me they already have the title notarized so I guess thats a good thing here ?

if it’s notarized thats good, but make sure the owner ALSO signs the title, or else it will be a pain in the ass.

i had the same problem dan did, only my title was a salvage certificate, so it was even more of a pain in the ass.
