I’ve done it once. It was a car on a dealership lot (Ford Probe GT), and it was a car I knew a lot about. Pictures satisfied me, I closed the deal over the phone, then drove there the next week, signed off on the paperwork and drove home. Everything went smooth, was in and out in less than 30 minutes.
Was it a good experience? Yes.
Was the car as advertised? Yes :tup:
Was I happy? Yes 😃
Would I ever do something like that again? Most likely not. (unless it was a brand new car).
In your case? Drive out there/fly out there and see the car. Or better yet, if you have someone you can trust (shop, friend, etc) have them go look at the car for you. That would be the smart thing to do.
