OP-assuming you’re going to finance your purchase, keep in mind that a lot of banks/cu’s won’t finance anything older than an 03 at this point (most ‘go back’ a max of 7 years). May want to check into that before you get let down. ---

And you can only do a 48month loan on anything 99-02, which is fine because thats what i planned on anyways. ---

iirc there is a 02 z06, \<10kmi for like 24500 on corvette forum. thing is absolutely mint. theres a few pretty good ass deals out there. Thats one hell of a car for 24 grand… ---

gears as in rear end gears? Or tranny gears? and Paulie, IMO, get a 02-04 C5 Z06 if thats what your going for. Stay away from the 01…im not saying theres anything wrong with them, its just 385hp \< 405 for a beginning plateform…and sense you havent made a purchase, wait until one comes along within your price range. congrats on selling the camaro. ---

tranny gears. 01+02 have weak gears. 03-04 are good. ---

im really starting to heavily lean towards going to sefcu monday and getting a loan for that 02z06 from idaho…its a pretty sweet ride, and the guy seems very upfront, showed me 40+ pics of the interior, took extra pics of each blem on the car, and sent me a few videos. I look at it this way, if i ship or drive it home, once i have it, im only spending 15000 on an 02 Z, even with 104kmi, i could proabably recoup that or very close to that, if i decided to sell it. OR i might just wait until march, save up another 1000 or 1300 bucks and then look, prices on some of the cars may go up, but more people may start to sell. ---
