i hear ya… i was lookin all over the place for one and wanted one ASAP, but i’m glad i waited because everything worked out perfect and i got EXACTLY what i wanted.

use the craigslist search engine, alot of dealers advertise there and not on the paying sites like autotrader and [cars.com](http://cars.com)

ive been on just the local craigslist, i was thinking of looking at a few others. ive been on autotrader like twice a day for the past month it seems to always be the same shit…and i check ls1tech and corvetteforum periodically all day.

searchtempest is a craigslist search engine, you can search up to like w/e miles from your zip code since your willing to travel.

i just found an 01 Z06 65kmi…red, corsa cat back, short throw shifter and lowered on stock bolts. 2 owner car, down in long island. $16000…that sounds like the one to me! i called the guy and hes in florida until the 16th… im going down on the 17th !! haha

Yeah, I’m glad I didn’t jump on the high mileage Z, I talked to the guy who owns this car again today, other than the shifter, corsa catback and it being lowered on stock bolts, the car is stock 2 owners and well serviced. Only thing that sucks is he still has a lien on the title. He probably still owes money on the thing would be my guess. Anyone know exactly how ill get sefcu to finance this now?
Brett gave me an idea of how the bank(s) will go about it, but I’m just curious if anyone has gone thru this before.
E and Turbo Travis when u say the gears are weak in the 01’s how so? Is there an easy fix to this in case the ones in this car start to fail? Is there a good sign I can look for when I drive it when I head down there on the 17th.

well considering I have a 01 and Our trannys are the same this is the first time of ever hearing about this “weekness”. My tranny still feels like its brand new…it has 70k on it. Guys are putting down well over 700rwhp and going deep into the 9’s on stock T56’s. I wouldnt worry about it.
