# c5 vette shifter question

anybody know the thread pitch off hand for a c5 shift knob?

I think its 18mm… fine thread… 1.5 probably. The stock knob make sure you pull that lock wedge out thats under the top cover 1st.

ok thanks…im not takin mine off…i dont own a vette.lol i just really like those delrin c5 knobs that are made…but i cannot find it in my thread pitch or depth so i ordered a foot long piece of delrin instead to make my own.

for a 2-3 inch delrin shift knob your gunna pay around 20-80 bucks…so i bought a foot long 1 1/4 piece for $5.44.

LG makes them, I know they run them in that c5r WC or whatever Lou drove in.

Shockwave knows more about this he has one of those dark grey delrin dildo shifters on his car 🙂

yea apperantly there run on the le mans cup car…  
i have a delrin ball knob now and love it…its doesnt get hot or cold.  
just wanna stry a “rod” style also
