crazy #s… but by the time you actually get into one of these cars gas prices will be rediculous… youll spend more on gas than you will on the car :eek:

no possible way you see anywhere NEAR 16mpg when your foot is on the pedal… and if you have a vette… and you drive it like a grandmother… you should have picked a new civic hybrid… or a insight… or a prius…
to have fun in the car… which is why youd buy it… its going to cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in gas…

edit: and out of curiousity… what gas saving technology are they using? How is that vette getting the same/better gas milage than a new m3?

bad-ass. such a sick ride, especially for the price. I wonder what the new horsepower ceiling will be. 5 to 1 it’s insurance related rather than fuel related.

i dont not think displacemtn on demand (dod) is going to be utilized, or atleast to my knowledge it is not.
i know the new monte carlo ss, will also use the same dod system used in the bonneville gxp.
i’ve just started researching into the z06’s…and i’ve barely scratched the surface.
so i apologize if i am incorrect
I read this a little while ago.
“The high performance version of the C6 (possibly still named Z06) will be powered by a new generation of cam-less engine sometime in the 2007-2008 MY timeframe. That’s right, electronically actuated valves. Not only will this give the HP version of the C6 infinite valve timing, but close-to, if not north-of 500hp. Cam-less engines have been used for years in radial piston aircraft engines where placement of a cam is impossible. Companies such as Siemens have been working on cam-less systems for 5-7 years. Snake tamer is one word we hope to use with the C6. These little bits of engine information has already gotten close to 14 people fired from GM, and is one of the C6’s most closely guarded secrets.”

I dunno, i drove my car responsibily most of the time, but always had my foot in it a little more then the next guy at me at a light. Then of course there were the times where i had it sideways around a turn or was looking at more then 2 digits on the spedo. I averaged about 18-20 mpg most of the time and 30mpg on the highway. 6th gear is really nice 🙂
