Go for a ride in a C6 - Z06 with a good driver. They are incredibly good handling cars.

LOL I was able to ride in a Z06 for a 30 minute session at Mosport, where the owner/driver competitively races his C5 Vette. Low 1:30’s in a completely stock car, there, on street tires is pretty damn good. Needles to say, it was quite a ride!
I don’t have any knowledge about the GTR that didn’t come from a magazine so I can’t really comment. I was trying to reply to:

That sounds about right versus a C5Z06. Older Z06s made less power.
