# Cable tv issue

I ran some cable from my basement out to my garage yesterday and the tv is only getting 12 channels. It’s a newer flat panel. I ran the cable off the existing time warner splitter. One of the lines runs to my upstairs bedroom that gets 100+ channels and it’s an older tube tv. What am I doing wrong?

This is really the first time I’ve done any cable stuff other than hooking up tv’s to existing, etc.

I should also add that neither tv is using a digital box.

dumb question…did you run the find station thing in most tvs?

^^haha, after I posted this, I remembered that. Did it with the flat panel and worked for most channels. The older tube tv still doesn’t work as it doesn’t have that function.

The problem is just that…Cable TV.
