watterson’s art is destined to become classic. as an artist, looking at the progression he made in a few short years between “cartoony” and “oh shit”, it’s unbelievable.

in one of his books he makes that dinosaur comparo - between the history museum and the “suzie’s day out”, I know someone knows what I’m saying - it’s off the chain and somewhere on elmwood. his attention to detail is phenominal.

i have every C&H book ever written by watterson

and

i cut out and framed and hung the last cartoon he ever wrote
