# Camshaft Gear Removal

I need to take the camshaft gears off and put them on new camshafts, im gonna need a vice and maybe a press…
Can anyone help me out? ill bring them to wherever you are obv.
Let me know, want to get the motor back in tonight, so its kinda urgent

cant just tap them off with a hammer? i gotta vice, but no press, drop me a pm or sumthin if u wana come over

they should come right offf … dead blow taping … even light taps with a regular hamer

usualy cam gears arent pressed on, as cams arent made of a very strong material, and the stres of pressing a gear on would fuck the cam up
are you sure you need a press, and not just some taps with a hammer ?

i 4th the light hammering them off. shouldnt give you much trouble. if you can pull the little key out first, then you can kinda wiggle them and turn them too if need be.

yea i got it taken care off, thanks for the help guys and the offer for help, gonna go put the rest of it together, hopefully have it back in tonight 😉
