I personally know people that have been caught and spent time in federal prison for smuggling illegals over into the US in an inflatable dingy.

This reminds me of a story I read a while ago about a group of high schoolers in washington state who hired cross country runners to run like 8 miles through the woods to get pot from British Colombia. Pounds and pounds. Made a lot of money, but they all ended up either killing each other, or getting busted by the fed. I wish I could find that article…

The best part is the damn Coast Guard station is 100 feet from where he crossed. They probably watched him the entire time.
