# car insurance question for ya

what kind of insurance do you guys use as far as covering any/all of the mods on your car? im just wondering if i should look into some kinda special insurance policy or something. i figure i have 10k + into my car as is.

i think what you are asking for is called a stated amount i had the option of doing it but decided against it, you will get the lower of the 2 amounts if something hapens  
a… the stated amount value in parts etc.  
b… bluw book value of the car

@ least thats the way it was explained to me by liberty mutial

You can opt to insure your vehicle to actual appraised value with Erie. It’s seperate from the auto insurance and costs quite a bit.

i have… touch my car and your getting sued for $1 million, forgot about totalling an audi, give me many discounts insurance.

i just meant that you pay for full coverage… and any mods you have in excess of 10k aren’t worth shit to an insurance company… you need to have a third party appraise your car and then open a policy for the ‘expensive’ parts… all depending on your insurance carrier…
