I think every citizen should carry a gun all the time, but if it’s private land the owner has the right to prohibit what he/she wants.

but… im not into killin…its to easy & it gives the other person an easy way out.
i’m into physical & mental punishment…preferable over the long term.
for instance if someone killed a family member of mine…i don’t want the death penalty, i would rather have him locked up & someone beats his ass to the brink of death on a daily basis.

for instance…if some nut, came on Pitt campus & killed some people.
everyday they should put has as in stocks on the catherdral lawn & people could come do whatever they wanted to him (except kill him)
much more satisfying IMO
like i said torture & humiliation \> killing

X2. Gun free zones (such as schools) are an open invitation for criminals and nutjobs to wreak havoc since people can’t defend themselves.

just out of curiosity, where would everyone stand if, when trying to protect yourselves, an innocent was shot by your weapon? Should this be some kind of extension of the “good samaritan” law?

That is when training with your weapon, and choosing the right round for carry come into play.

I’m sure “man, i’m so glad I dont have a gun that could allow me to defend myself, so that hopefully this asshat that is executing everyone in my classroom one by one will have to face humiliation and torture rather than death” is exactly what was going through the heads of all those VT students.
