# Carry on Campus: Where do you stand?

I like the intent of the mandatory training to carry (some states have it already) but I don’t like the precedent it sets. Sure it’s better to have trained people with guns, but it’s dangerous to give the government additional power with regard to who can and cannot carry a gun.

In PA, right now, you must pass a BG check to buy the gun, and another to get the permit. It’s not as if any old ex-con can get a carry permit.
