thats how I feel… this legislation really isn’t that much stronger than what it replaces, but the fines are much higher. they could always impound your car for going 50km/h+ over, it just depended on what charge they chose to give you. not to mention the tows/impound fees etc ---

they are not going to build a track… this money is going to go into more ‘sponsorship-type’ arrangements where friends of politicians get generous contracts to do little or nothing. man i want to be a politician. ---

wow , almost a million already? I also heard that if you argue with the officer , fine goes to 5000$. I am sure some people have tried to talk their way out and must have been fined 5000$ or more. ---

fines are probably discretion of officer, i would imagine. ---

u can buy those in TO, forget the name of the shop, but its around 300 i think. Or u can buy the glass which is used in residential buildings to control sunlight into a house. Not sure price. But its just a flip of the switch. Also if u have a transponder there is a little trick that u can do to, that will let you travel the full length of the 407 for around 6 dollars i believe. Anyways enough about that shit. How the hell did they catch that many street racers? It’s not street raceers, it’s people who go 50 over the limit. What I find so pathetic is that 10 days after they introduce this new law, 2 people are killed in a “street racing” accident. The only thing bigger penalties are good for is winning elections. (And it worked.) ---

I saw a car getting pulled off the road and towed last night in Dudebridge… It was an old RAV4 lol. This law is definitely catching real street racers, yup, yup 😃 ---

I think if enough people run from the cops, and if enough people die in these chases and more likely if theres more money going into fixing crashed cop cars, then maybe they’ll change the law back…
