my dd is a 02 cavalier the car runs and drives great but every once in a while when u turn the wheel to the right it makes a cranking or ratchiting noise sounds louder inside the car rather than out side the car any ideas would be helpful basil could not find a problem. thanks ---

Is this a speed cosistant problem? Or from an acceleration? racheting is a vage description. When these problems occur what exactly are you doing with the car. Do u feel a vibration to? Are you on the brakes in these turns? Can you tell this is what I do all day. ---

when he turns the wheel it sounds as if its clicking. i was thinking either the axle or cv joint. ---

yea tim has it the faster i turn the wheel the faster it clicks but only in the cold no vibration and im not on the brakes. speed does not change it either
