# CCV on Injen intake

So I am probably going to scoop a used Injen SP1431P, it can be a short ram or cai. Anyways, its missing the small “1 1/8” x 2” CCV box coupler (#3112)” as its called. I cannot find the part on Injen’s own site, so I have sent them an email. What I want to know is, do I actually need this thing? Is it just a PCV valve, or just a filter/screen deal? I cannot seem to find info on it, and I know intakes on my past vehicles have just had a hose from the crankcase vent to the intake pipe.

i would say if the “box” doesnt have any wires going to it, ya prolly can get away with not having it. but what do i know…lol

I would say that is your pcv. I would put it in.

Unless you have a pcv in front of that somewhere.

replace box with inline pcv for a few dollars and piece of mind
