2003 eddie bauer exploder with 90k on it and the CEL came on last night and the car shakes pretty bad at idle…car gurus chime in plz
more reasons not to buy a ford

Could be a bad timing chain tensioner … Could cause a little shake
I know its pretty common on exploders

no there not …is the light blinkin as ya drive? if so it is missfiring as most of those need a tune up about 85 -95 k they burn the plugs up .or the coil pack like said before get code and post it or call me dont listen to the tards at adv as there abaout as bright as a burnt out bulb

bad wire, bad plugs or bad coil pack… maybe your rear diff mount broken!!!

I swear ive heard that these are pretty well known for bad timing chain tensioners? hmm whatever just a thought

yea i’d like to do that but i owe 9k on it and i dont want to carry over 4500 lol but im still going to check out the new subaru outback sports 18-21k…maybe i can weasel out another 5k and get the wrx

I thought the Eclipse was going to explode sitting at idle the way it carried on, but turns out all it needed was new plugs and wires. Obviously Ford vs. Mitsu not really a good comparison, just saying.
