Well, I don’t think I’m getting the Golf TDI… My dad’s springing for a new car for me, but he doesn’t want to go that expensive ($285/month). He said he’ll go to $200/month. That definitely cuts down my options. (I have to get a brand new car) I tested a Special Value Cavalier, and I liked it for the most part (much more than the Civic coupe), but I like the way the Sunfire looks better. Is there any advantage to buying either the Sunfire or the Cavalier over the other? Can anyone think of a coupe/hatch under $13-14k other than Cavalier, Focus, Civic, Accent, and Sunfire? I won’t be modifying this thing for years, so that’s not a concern. As of right now, I’m thinking black Sunfire special value package… I can get it for around $170/month. ---

you need to convince you dad to go for something certified used. Friends dont let friends drive sunfires/cavaliers. ---

Why don’t you take the $200.00 your dad is given you, and add some of your own cash to get a diffrent car? ---

A used car thats payed off, with just the legal limits on coverage. paying more a month for ins. than the car payment is nuts. ---

I have a used car with minimum coverage now. ---
