also…shit, my dad is always bitching at me for having oil laying around. so this ONE time right after changing the oil I take it and get rid of it. I kept the metal chunks though. can I still get it tested with the oil that comes out next? I’m assuming whatever is FUBAR is going to keep getting worse, haha. fml ---

change filter, fill with clean, cheap oil. start it, run it to operating temp, let cool. drain cheap oil, check it for more shavings if it’s clean: change filter, fill with good oil, hope for the best if it’s dirty: yeeeaaahhh… ---
