I’m pretty sure everyone those statistics weren’t the VP. Just a guess though. Look at stupid Britney driving with her baby in her lap. Or Brad and Jen breaking up. Famous people get noticed. People do stupid shit with their kids everyday and people break up all the time. When you are famous though, it becomes a big deal. Thats why its a big deal.

I never said it wasn’t news, it certainly is. But there is a difference between life changing event type news, and news like this. The former is the responsibility of the VP’s office to make available to the press ASAP if the VP is involved in any way. The latter, which this hunting accident falls into, really doesn’t affect anyone but those directly involved, so as long as it isn’t covered up I see no issue with a 20 hour delay.
But, news is big business now, and this is just the type of story they love because it will get people to turn on the TV. Since profits now come before journalistic ethics it’s fine to blow a story out of proportion just to get people to watch. As long as you can sell more commercial time in between your “breaking news”.

buckshot i think you people are thinking of which has the large caliber balls is #00. buckshot is a general term. if he got hit with #00 there would have been a whole lot more damage than there was. im sure they were using a higher number shot, ie: much smaller sizes.

most definitely. I wouldn’t use something big enough to kill a deer if I’m hunting little birds.

not only that, but you’d better be a damn good shot to hit a bird with #00 too. the bigger the shot the less the spread.

lol @ Buckshot. Buckshot is called that because it is used for deer. and blowing the shit out of stuff that you really really hate. I am a hunter, and I damn well know the difference that buckshot and Birdshot can make. You NEVER hunt birds with buckshot. He was most likly using a low brass 7-8 shot. I blame both of them for what happend also. Dickey boy for now knowing his taget and what lies beyand it, which is the first rule of determining if it is safe to shoot, and he did not properly note his surroundings. the victim here should have been more carefull as to where he was at the time and should have kept in either constant communication with him, or kept to a strict “I will be here” plan. That way things like this do not happen.
