# chevy brake hardware

does anyone know if you need anything special to change pads/rotors on an '04 impala? i thought i remembered a few gm’s using torx or allen bolts

i dont have the car so i cant check…

just did brakes on my silverado…it requires a torax but its nothing special

I’d be willing to bet it will be a torx. 86 Fiero = Torx. 06 Envoy = Torx. GM isn’t exactly known for trying anything new.

i think i have a torx t50 or t60 from a friends monte, hopefully that’ll be it

i didn’t need anything special while doing the wifes 04 malibu maxx - just a std socket (don’t remember the size)
