# City Taxes

Anyone have a number for change address, tax information, They have been taking a city tax out of me when I lived not in the city, and I need to ge this straighten out.

ya but do you work in the city…if so say goodbye to the money. i dont live in teh city either but i work in it and i got 65 bucks taken out of my first paycheck this year.

yes but the 65 is from your borro not the city, correct?, and your borro is only going to charge 1-1.2%, not 2.8-i think is the city’s which they take out every check.

you’re confusing you’re local tax and the city tax… if you work in the city, you pay the city tax wtihout any regard to paying local tax to where you live.

wait wait, If you work in the city, they take the once a year OCC tax 65.00 and thats it, nothing else I have 3 ppl at work just got there checks that state that, they do not pay a city tax out of there check, but will have to pay the 1% from where they live.

so if I live in Munhall, and work in the city, or I live in the city, and work in the city, which is better? put it that way!

neither really because my sq hill tax would be 3 % plus city of pittsburgh occupational (which is 65 vs. 10 (if you work out of teh city)) and my locals are township and boro for 1.5% each (= 3%)
so in my case it would equal out.
just find teh local + school tax for the township you want to live in and compare it to the munhall township / school tax.

right…thats what i was tryin to say. i still pay my local north hills taxes but am bitter cause i had to pay this occupational tax just for workin in the city…its complete bs imo.

67H \> 61c,d,f \> paying for parking downtown. Just expense parking when you have to have an outage, or get called in for an emergency.

I dont pay to park, got a hook up, My question is should I keep the city address, or switch to the munhall, which is cheaper.
