eh…nothing spectacular…but something to read in the AM. Just go to to work. As i was driving on union, i see the cop behind me, thought nothing of it since i was about to pull into work. I pull into the lot, he passed me, but then pulls into the lot a little farther down. At that point im parked at getting out of my car. he pulls in front of me and says: Cop: i like your plate! Me: Thanks 🙂 Cop: Where’s the front one? Me: Right in the back! (as i point to my back seat) he then just kind of laughs, ask for my license… walk up to his car and give it to him. He looks up my record, and says “wow…the last ticket you had was in 2004” Seems like he was surprised. I was actually shocked myself…haha that cant be right. at that point he was just asking if anything on the car was illegal. if i work here…where at…etc. Either way he was VERY cool… at the end of it, he just says: Cop: Alright, well just go ahead and put your front plate on, honestly its because if you’re out drinking and you’re driving and don’t have a front plate… we have a reason to pull you over even if you’re driving normal and i don’t want to see you get fucked. If you have the front plate on, we have no reason to. Alright? Me: Sounds good Cop: Alright take care i just loved how he made it seem like it was ok to drink and drive as long as im driving normal and have a front plate… what a silly goose. but either way :tup: for being a nice cop. ---

only 2 times I got hassled for no front plate: 1. I had a german one on - and it saved me, I was doing donuts with a bunch of people in an industrial park and the cop was like “we could give you all kinds of tickets, how about a no front plate and you go home” 2. I had no front BUMPER on the Z … just a big IC 😉 ---

Sounds exactly like the WS cop I had a run in with last month. Was heading to my gf’s apartment and passed the cop going the other direction. I see(n) him pull into the neighboring lot, whip a u-turn and come back in my direction. I thought he was headin out to a call or something judging by his rate of speed. I work my way to the back of the lot and am grabbing some shit out of the car when he sneaks up and parks behind me Super Troopers style. Him: Hey, those windows look a little dark Me: Really? Him: Yeah, you know the limit in NY is 70% Me: Yeah, I know they’re tinted…but I’ve been stopped before and never received a ticket, so I’ve always thought them to be legal. Him: Yeah, I dunno…they just look a little too dark. Me: Well, the car has black interior…maybe that’s playing some tricks? Him: Maybe…mind if I take a reading? Me: Not at all…I’m not gonna stop you from doing your job:) Him: Nah…you look like you’re busy…have a good night Me: Thanks! You too:) ---
