Hey guys…
The check engine light has been on my S14 for a few months now… I took it to my mechanic for a diag test… Nothing major… So I took out the cluster and took the bulb out so the check engine would go away… Now since I’ve done that the indiglo light for the digital clock below my tach is out… Are all those lights on the same circuit (like christmas lights… One goes out, the rest don’t work)… Any ideas?

Put the bulb back into the socket but don’t put it into the cluster… keeps the circuit but doesn’t bother you with the light in your face

oops, sorry, thought it was like the airbag light… NM

why don’t you just fix the problem so your check engine light wouldn’t even be on anyway??

In order to get at those lights you will need to remove the engine and change them through the firewall. You will see the holes for the lights once the engine is out.
