The correct platform is designated the Delta Platform. Opel is just one of the cars built on it… ---

The damn thing is not a cavalier! Its built on the Delta platform which is the same as the Ion and the Pontiac Solstice. The cavalier is a J-body…that platform has been around since the early 80’s…the Colbalt is a completely new car…like Mike said…nothing interchanges. ---

Technically, the Delta, Ceta, and Sigma platforms are creditted to “Opel”. Chevrolet and General Motors of North America had NOTHING to do as far as way of design of that platform. as much as I love AMERICAN cars it bothers me to realize that if they want a decently built platform, they have to go to their European counterparts to build one for them.
