# Coil packs not firing??

ok so my cousin has an 88 silvia with a ca18 in it , he just replaced the head gasket and put tomei cams in. Went to fire the car , but no spark, checked fuel haev fuel, check compression, has compression , checked for spark , no spark. His brother has a 90 180sx so he tried the coil packs from his car , still nothing.

Any help on this subject would be great hopefully you guys can help

Check the ground wires for the coils, did you replace all the coils with working ones or just a couple? Could be the ignitor they like to go on the ca’s. Try swaping that out with a good one.

No spark should be a pretty easy fix on a CA, good luck anyways

igniter or possibly a crack in the coil pack harness

P.S I have extra CA18 coil packs and ignitors in stock with Rob at Garage S13.
