Ah, I thought you were referring to another Coin alternative. I actually had a card with a chip on it like that in 2001. It came with a USB reader so you could make purchases online by putting in the chip side of the card into the reader. After some time though I received a notice from Visa that they were no longer going to be using the chip system and the card would need to be swiped like normal. I think I still have the reader somewhere @LZ1 if you want to do hacker stuff with it, lol. ---
