By a SGT or LT, I doubt thats getting thrown out. I cant believe all this fuss over a tint ticket. It’s an equipment violation with 0 points.

Well I suppose I’ll end my side of all this with this.
I do agree with you on some aspects of what has been being talked about. I do agree things are driven by money, but not as broad as you so seem to think. You make it seem like cops shouldent be busting anyones balls for tinted windows, exhausts, seatbelts the law goes on and on… When you yourself said there are reasons for these laws and “Law creation and enforcement are two differant things” People create laws so that cops can enforce them.
You talk as if even thou these laws have a purpose, that theyre stupid (even if they are) and cops shouldent enforce them. If cops are not enforcing the laws put into place there not doing their job, regardless of weather or not it makes the county/state more wealthy. To many people make it sound like these laws dont exist and yet cops make it up when they pull them over to take their money. No these laws were put there for a reason even if we don’t always agree with it.
I will agree, I think some of these things… Tint, seatbelts etcc are stupid but I understand why they are there.
In the end as shitty as it is, its your word against theirs. Unless your willing to deal with all the bullshit and fight it. Most will continue to tuck back their cocks, bend over and take it like a champ. Then bitch and moan about how they got fucked by the long dick of the law because they dident do anything and the cop was having a bad day.

One of my Maxima forums is NYC based. They always get ticketed for stupid stuff like tint. I don’t know what you two are goin on about. As far as going 80 with everyone else, that is why I love the Garden State Parkway, the Henry Hudson Parkway, The Cross Island Parkway, and many others. lol.

Not true. My brother had his limo tint ticket thrown out because the judge didn’t feel like dealing with it (something so retarded). This was back in 2001. He has 15% tint on his windows. Still does and has only been bothered once or twice because he drives like my grandmother.
**POINT OF THE MATTER IS: MANY TICKETS THEY HAND OUT ARE REVENUE BOOSTERS ONLY. THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH SAFETY, ETC. EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY SO (do you think they would tell you the ticket is for revenue purposes? Yeah. Right.)**
How many times am I going to have to say it? Yes, you got it. Pay it. But the reason why those tickets exist is to help the state/town make money. It’s 0 points as Bakerian said, so just pay it. If it was about safety, the FEDERAL goverment would require a certain % of light to pass through. The fact that states set that law, means it’s not about safety. I’m sure every Police Department would love to keep their cops as safe as possible, but when you have states like NY with 70% laws and states like FL with 28% laws, what gives? It’s obviously not about safety.

I was never complaining about getting a ticket, dont know how many times I’ve said this, just letting everybody know they have up’d patrol. Everybody else itt I have no control over.

It’s a complicated issue. To me, I **know** we have better shit to do. We can stop messing over the middle class (which has taking a beating over the last near decade and currently in the middle of a bad recession) and concentrate on things that are the real crime or the real traffic issues such as DWI, wreckless driving that could injure others, etc…
The fact that they pick and choose when/how to enforce these laws with money being the obvious motivation is honestly disturbing. I am sure if you give the public a say (which they should given they front the fucking money), they’d much rather have DWI checks then inspection checks that obviously is there to generate dollars rather than stop the evil man who forgot to get the sticker or the young ricer who wants a louder exhaust.
I’ll give you an example: Several years ago my girlfriend lived in a crappy part of Albany. Over the course of two months BOTH roommates were assaulted and robbed at gun point. One was a lawyer and the other going to school for a vet. Two typical white girls walking out to their car in their driveway. There were also several break-ins throughout the area.
Crystal and I were going to go to a movie and noticed a strange car in the parking lot and people in the driveway. We called Albany and then waited 40 minutes for someone to show up. THey told them to leave without ID’ing them or anything at all. Crystal practically ripped the guy a new asshole for being a complete waste of life.
I remember that night because Albany raided Northway Plaza to stop the terrorist group known as imports. I am glad we have our priorities straight.
